Description
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Per fess Argent and Sanguine, a cross crosslet counterchanged.  Attached below the shield a Gold scroll inscribed NOS PRO VOBIS in Maroon letters.

Symbolism
The shield is in the colors of the Medical Department.  This cross was associated with the medieval knights hospitalers, and with pilgrims during the Crusades.  The motto translates to We Care For You.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 10 August 1951.  It was rescinded on 14 March 1975.
